We have looked in this series of blogs at the architecture, how the integration needs to be configured, and we looked at the admin and end user experience. Next subject is how to enable support for Lookout for Work on iOS devices. (see links to earlier blogs at the bottom of this blog)

It’s a bit different than when using Lookout for Work for Android devices, for Android the app is available in the Google Play store, for iOS the app is not available in the Apple App store.

intuneEarlier this week Apple released iOS version 9.3, today Microsoft released a statement that Intune supports and is compatible with iOS 9.3. Where iOS version 9.2 broke MDM capabilities of most MDM vendors the available iOS policies are supported for and working on iOS 9.3, so we don’t have to wait for an iOS update to be managed again for weeks..

For the new educational options in iOS 9.3, Microsoft is collaborating with Apple to see where Intune is able to manage the new features. managedbrowser00We have waited for a long time before that the Microsoft Intune Managed Browser was released for iOS, apparently Apple finally approved the application and it is now available in the iTunes app store. With the Microsoft Intune Managed Browser you are able to manage which websites can be browsed to via the managed browser by setting up a list of websites that are allowed or blocked.
