WMUG NL meetings coming up!

Busy times at the Windows Management User Group Netherlands. In two weeks we will be organizing a meeting around Virtualizationwmug_nl_kl with some great speakers from the Dutch community. This meeting will be held at PQR in De Meern. Look for more information here.

The sessions will be in Dutch, so if you want to join us book your ticket today because there are only a couple left!

On October the 8th our Workspace Management meeting will be held at IT-Concern in Gorinchem. The program is not yet completely finished but for this meeting we were able to arrange Jason Sandys to come over and join us for this evening. Jason is a six time Enterprise Client Management / Configuration Manager MVP and he will be presenting a session about managing (Internet based) workspaces via HTTPS and System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager.

wmug_nl_klJust a couple of minutes ago we announced during our second meeting of this year our next Windows Management User Group Netherlands meeting. On May the 22nd we have invited Enterprise Client Management MVPs Kent Agerlund and Brian Mason to talk with us about Patch Management.

Kent is joining us from Denmark to talk with us about third party software updates with System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager. Kent works for Coretech and travels around the world to do consulting jobs, teach people everything about Enterprise Client Management and speaks on conferences like TechEd, IT/Dev Connections and the Microsoft Management Summit.

Brian works for a large financial services company called Wells Fargo in the United States of America. Brian manages with his team more than 360.000 clients. He will learn us the do’s and don’t about Software Updates (via Configuration Manager) in a real enterprise environment. Brian speaks a lot at his user group and spoke in the past at conferences like the Microsoft Management Summit.

wmug_nl_klJust a couple of minutes ago we announced during our second meeting of this year our next Windows Management User Group Netherlands Webinar. On May the 6th we have invited Enterprise Client Management MVPs Johan Arwidmark to talk with us about OSD – MDT 2013 & ConfigMgr 2012 R2 highlights.

Johan Arwidmark is the Chief Technical Architect with Knowledge Factory. He is a consultant, author and all-around geek specializing in Systems Management and Enterprise Windows Deployment Solutions.

In addition to his consulting role, Johan present trainings and speaks at several conferences each year, including TechEd around the world. He is also actively involved in communities like and, and he has been awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for eight years.

Johan is known for an energetic and humorous style, tackling complex concepts using simple “Real World” scenarios and lots of live demos. His areas of expertise include: Enterprise Windows Deployment Tools and Solutions, ConfigMgr, MDT, WinPE, USMT, and WDS.

WMUG NL Sessions on April the 8th

wmug_nl_klA couple of weeks ago we announced our new Windows Management User Group Netherlands meeting for the 8th of April. The subject of the evening is Deployment. As from today we have also the sessions descriptions filled in. Kenneth van Surksum and me are going to talk about “Application deployment across several devices with System Center 2012 Configuration Manager”, Arie de Haan is going to talk about “Mobile Application Management using Symantec App Center” and Steven Duckaert from Nutanix is presenting a technical session about the Virtualization solution of Nutanix.

Stefan Stranger will present a session about “Using PowerShell with System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2”, our Belgium SCU Jedi Dieter Wijckmans will show us to remove the fog from your cloud monitoring with SCOM and Dennis Rietvink will talk us through “Business Service Management for System Center Operations Manager”.

Virtual Machine Microsoft MVP Didier Van Hoye will show us how to troubleshoot issues related to slow Hyper-V Migration Performance during this one hour session. As WMUG NL we already got a sneak-preview last week and we can tell you that it will be very interesting, so be sure to join if you want to learn some cool stuff! 🙂

Wally Mead at IT-Concern during WMUG NLA little more than a month ago we had with the Windows Management User Group Netherlands the pleasure to host Wally Mead at our Friday Afternoon Drink. As always Wally takes a lot of questions and whishes home and take action if appropriate. Earlier last month shared his answer about the question if the Cloud Distribution Points and the Distribution Point in Windows Intune are also reported in the new Distribution Point usage point.

wmug_nl_klThe IT-Pro Community in the Netherlands is very active at the moment, for the month November 3 events are scheduled on the calendar. The Windows Management User Group Netherlands has scheduled two really nice events for the beginning of November and many User Groups around System Center, Windows Management, Hyper-V, Powershell, Azure and SQL have scheduled a combined event called Experts Live at the end of November.

On September the 17th we will organize our next Windows Management User Group NL meeting. The subject of this third meeting will be Virtualization. We have found three industry experts on this subject that will present us some realy cool sessions.
